raising babies after a stroke

It is scary to think about becoming a parent with your new disability but you can do it! Your baby won’t expect you to be any different than you are. Yes, you can do everything one handed although it might look different from others. Your baby won’t expect anything else from you.

Holding a newborn

You won't have any trouble holding for baby for shorter periods of time, for longer holds, i recommend this Ka'tan baby wearing sling.

one hand friendly stroller

The Chicco Bravo Mini Plus Stroller was one hand friendly.

one hand friendly carseat

I used this Chicco Fit 360 Revolving Carseat once my baby was big enough, as a newborn we modified a Chicco Keyfit to only need one side of the handle squeezed to adjest the handle. We did this by entirely removing one of the handle buttons.

When you’re working with one good hand, you might find the car seat button is too stiff to press with one hand but with the Bucklebee, I could always press the button.
